'Josh' Cairns (The Busker) and Ex-Pipe-Major Massie (The Bagpipes Man from Trafalgar Square)
Introduced by S.E. Reynolds.
London is rich in characters. Two of the most interesting of them will appear this afternoon. 'Josh' Cairns follows the good old profession of 'busking', which means that he performs in the street and anywhere he can get an audience. One of his many accomplishments is to play a mouth organ without touching it with his hands.
Ex-Pipe-Major Massie is another great character. He is well known to most Londoners, and certainly to those who "frequent the neighbourhood of Charing Cross". This is the first of a series in which it is hoped viewers will see at least two unusual characters each week.
