American soul-inspired work, Dusty in Memphis. Released in January 1969, the 33-minute LP signalled a radical stylistic change for the singer, and initially failed to make much of a critical or commercial impact despite the album's UK/US top ten hit Son of a Preacher Man. And there's archive input from Dusty not previously aired in the UK. Producer Paul Sexton
