Norman Jay spins a selection of classic, forgotten and modern funk recordings from the 50s onwards, showcasing popular performers and underground acts. This instalment features music by Lyn Collins , Cameo, Aretha Franklin and Sergio Mendes. Also, Norman recalls Parliament's 1976 funk milestone, Mothership Connection.

Radio 2's resident rocker Suzi Quatro continues her look at six established greats of rock 'n' roll and pop with Arizona-born guitarist Duane Eddy, whose low, twangy sound - recorded with echo and tape delay - remains a defining sound of the late 50s and early 60s. Suzi talks to the guitar guru, who illustrates the technique that resulted in such instrumental classics as Rebel-Rouser, "Yep!", Forty Miles of Bad Road, Because They're Young and Peter Gunn.
