The series concludes with a look at hip-hop's liberal - and legally dodgy - use of sampling, that in the 80s and 90s fuelled the wrath of established acts who didn't like hearing their work in fragmented form while bolstering someone else's record. Sampling is now a commonplace musical language, but is it genuinely creative or merely expedient?
