The first of their many collaborations, The Likes of Us tells the story of Dr Thomas Barnardo (1845-1905) and his charitable work for destitute children. Featuring the BBC Concert Orchestra and a cast headed by narrator Stephen Fry under the direction of Simon Lee , recorded at London's Mermaid Theatre.
