Aerosmith, who have been in and out of the American charts since 1973, when they scored a US regional hit with the distinctive metal melodrama Dream On. Other milestones include their 1976 hit single Walk This Way (a landmark crossover hit for rappers Run-DMC ten years later) and the band's only US number one, / Don't Want to Miss a Thing (from the 1998 film Armageddon, which stars lead singer Steve Tyler 's daughter Liv Tyler ).
