1/11. Retro rocker Suzi Quatro returns with more American rock 'n' roll gems of the 50s and early 60s, including romantic ballads and country cross-over hits. The series kicks off with tracks by the Everly Brothers, Hank Locklin , Marty Robbins and Fats Domino. Also, Suzi recalls the release 50 years ago of Little Richard's hyper hit classic Tutti-Frutti, which became his US Hot 100 debut in early 1956.

Rockin' with Suzi Q 9.00pm R2
Suzi Quatro is back for her 15th series of playing rock 'n' roll hits and obscurities. And her enthusiasm has not waned: within minutes she's stating that as long as she can still zip herself into that all-in-one black leather suit (steady, boys), she's going to carry on "rockin'". This, mixed with a listener's memory of first hearing a Fats Domino record pumping out at a seaside funfair, make for comfortably saucy (rather than sexy) nostalgia.
