An uncompromising story of denial, set over a weekend in a remote Danish mansion, and containing strong language and descriptions of sexual violence. Originally one of the Dogme series of films by the Danes Thomas Vinterberg, Mogens Rukov and Bohr Hansen, Festen was made into a multi-award-winning adaptation for the Almeida Theatre, London, by David Eldridge. This radio version features the cast of that production. Introduced by director Rufus Norris.
