Dalia Grinkevieiute was deported with her family from Lithuania to Siberia.
Her memoirs describe the struggle of several hundred deportees to survive in the frozen wastes of an uninhabited island on the Laptev Sea.
Her words are adapted and read by Zhivila Roche.
