In this third programme, the American trumpeter and composer Shorty Rogers talks to Alyn Shipton about the Lighthouse Club near Los Angeles which, after its opening in 1949, became a centre for the West Coast jazz movement. Along with Jimmy Giuffre , Rogers was a regular member of the Lighthouse All-Stars, led by Howard Rumsey.
