The Masses and Motets Josquin was the most outstanding of the long line of ' Netherlands ' composers of the 15th century. This ' Prince of Musicians ' brought to perfection almost all the available forms, but it is in his masses and more particularly his motets that his mastery of early Renaissance polyphony is most clearly shown. Motets:
Ave Maria ... Virgo serewa

9.16* Ave verum corpus

He talks to Charles Fox about half a century spent playing jazz - in Harlem clubs, touring with Jazz at the Philharmonic, and leading many groups of his own. He also reminisces about his associations with the saxophonists Chu Berry and Coleman Hawkins , and the recordings he made with Billie Holiday and Mildred Bailey.
