The Masses and Motets Josquin was the most outstanding of the long line of ' Netherlands ' composers of the 15th century. This ' Prince of Musicians ' brought to perfection almost all the available forms, but it is in his masses and more particularly his motets that his mastery of early Renaissance polyphony is most clearly shown.
