The first of three programmes 1: The Sermons of John Wycliffe with Sir Bernard Miles as John Wycliffe
John Wycliffe was one of the most remarkable and controversial figures of 14th-century England. The strength and un-orthodoxy of his religious and social views have earned him the title of ' morning star of the Reformation '. His sermons were widely enjoyed by both the literate and illiterate and four of these sermons have been drawn upon by TERENCE TILLER to compile one composite sermon.
