John Julius Norwich , writer and traveller, says that the records he has chosen are the musical milestones in his life, beginning with one of his childhood idols, FRANK CRUMIT. He includes Grechaninov's Creed, which recalls his fascination with the monasteries on Mount Athos. His passion for opera is represented by lolanthe, in which he sang the lead, and Arabella. in which he didn't.
