L. In the week of the 25th anniversary of his murder, an I in-depth portrait of John Lennon , told through the medium of Jann Wenner 's 1970 interview for Rolling
Stone. Lennon himself regarded it as the definitive record, documenting the Beatles' career and split with emotional, painstaking and, at times excruciating, detail. The audio archive for this programme is centred exclusively on Wenner's own tapes, which have never been broadcast before in this way. It also features new interviews with both Yoko (who sat beside John throughout) and Wenner, who look back on the interview and Lennon's state of mind at the time. There are no other contributors.
