Vladimir Bukovsky has spent a third of his life in Soviet prisons and mental institutions. His crime - not conforming with the system. Eventually. in December 1976, the Soviet authorities bowed to Western pressure and agreed to release him in exchange for the Chilean Communist. Luis Corvalan. Now a student in Cambridge, Bukovsky continues to fight the Soviet regime and manages to keep in touch with the dissident groups in Russia. Erik de Manny profiles Vladimir Bukovsky , a dissident in exile.
