The Flower of Immortality by MARGARET ROSE
Gilgamesh, King of Uruk. rules for seven years before he has to marry the Goddess Inanna and go to his death. The young man goes on a search for the Flower of Immortality and takes with him on his journey his twin self, Enkidu.
This, one of the oldest myths known, pre-dates the stories of The Iliad by 1,500 years.

Through television, the cinema and even comics, most people are familiar with the figure of Count Dracula. the Transylvanian aristocrat who immortalised himself by sucking the blood from living human victims. But few are familiar with his origins, and even fewer know anything about his creator Bram Stoker , originally a Dublin civil servant, who wrote 18 books other than Dracula, including one called The Duties of Clerks in the Petty Sessions of Ireland.
Sarah Dunant looks at the life of Bram Stoker , and Stoker's original novel. and follows the career of his creation. Count Dracula, through successive rebirths on stage and screen.
