Computers
To most people, computers are some sort of electronic brains... machines with minds of their own. And they have a nagging fear that they just could get out of control. With their influence in our lives spreading rapidly - they already affect everything from the delivery of our daily bread to the registering of our motoring trespasses - are the fears justified? Do we have any cause for concern? Or is the computer simply an invaluable aid to progress as the technocrats would prefer us to believe? You can express your views and put your questions to Gerry Fisher, President of the British Computer Society, and John Gwilliam, one of its members.
