On the day of Pete's funeral Bex panics, convinced the net is closing in on her.

Medical Drama: Casualty 8.20pm BBC1
It's taken a while, but tonight Bex finally says bye-bye. There'll be no more sulky pouting or deliberate ignoring of patients for Holby's most acerbic staff member. But what will be the exact style of her exit? Marched off to the Holby nick? (Probably by former lover DI Will Manning - how ironic is that?) Or something even more dramatic? And will Sarah Manners (see the Inside Story, below) leave one medical drama, only to turn up in future episodes of Born and Bred and Down to Earth?
While Bex is dithering, some of the others go to Pete's funeral or tend to a stream of patients. Among the latter is a boy and his mother who have a nasty accident involving a kite boarder on a deserted beach. The story gets treated in a typical Casualty way, ladling on the schmaltz and twanging our heartstrings unmercifully. You'd think we'd be immune to that by now. (JR)
