More than 20,000 singers, musicians and soldiers have worked for months to create a backdrop to this event, a procession for the Queen's Golden Jubilee leading from
Buckingham Palace to St Paul's.
The Queen leaves the Palace at 10.40, and travels in the Gold State Coach past a 5,000-strong choir who perform Handel's Zadok the Priest.
David Dimbleby fronts the coverage, with Philippa Forrester, Sophie Raworth and Wesley Kerr.
Producers Daniel Brittain-Catlin and Catherine Stirk

A celebration of the Queen's 50-year reign from St Paul's Cathedral, where the cathedral choir and the Choir of the Chapels Royal greet her arrival with the full version of Parry's setting of Psalm 122, I Was Glad. The service includes a new setting of Psalm 150 by John Rutter and a sermon by the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Rev Dr George Carey. Introduced by Huw Edwards.

The celebrations continue with a banquet at the 11th-century Guildhall, where the Queen is the guest of the City of London, and, with the Prime Minister Tony Blair, speaks in reply to the Lord Mayor of London.
David Dimbleby and the team add their insights to the climax of the Golden Jubilee weekend, with the Notting Hill Carnival leading an afternoon of music, costumes and floats. At 3.30 the Queen returns to the Mall to watch a parade of servicemen and women, a retrospective look at the last half-century in Great Britain and a carnival march.
At 5.45 the Queen joins other members of the royal family at Buckingham Palace in a balcony appearance, while at 6.00 Concorde leads the Red Arrows in a fly-past along the Mall.
