More than 40 years after Michael Bond 's duffel coat-clad creation was discovered by the Browns on Paddington station, Stephen Fry acts as gumshoe to trace the bear's roots in darkest Peru. Along the way he visits a home for retired bears in Lima and helps rescue a relative of Paddington, a Spectacled Bear, in a rusty helicopter.
