When she is seduced by debonair Paul Tomlinson, psychologist Tess Palmer succumbs. However, one of her patients, Carla, has been unhinged by just such a relationship, and just such a man. Tess then learns more about the deceased Mrs Tomlinson. Pierce Brosnan stars as James Bond in the film Goldeneye, released next week.

Birmingham's Symphony Hall was the venue in September for Chris de Burgh to play songs from his 15th album, Beautiful Dreams, for the first time. He was accompanied by the London Session Orchestra, and the concert featured new arrangements of some of his best known songs, including Lady in Red and Missing You.
