Gannets Galore Narrated by David Attenborough
Islands around the coast support the largest gannet colonies in the world. Off the Hebrides, more than 100,000 birds are on the granite pinnacle of Stac Lee alone.
There's the clamorous cry of gannets in their thousands, as they claim nest sites, raise their young, plunge-dive into the sea after fish at 100 kph, and compete with the piratical skua for possession of the catch - spectacular evidence that our biggest seabird is very much 'top of the rock'!

Last October Childwatch examined the problem of child abuse and showed the long-term damage that this cruelty causes. Far from protecting children, the law was widely described as a 'molesters charter' - 95 per cent of cases never get to court and those that do present a horrific ordeal for the child involved.
Tonight Esther Rantzen looks at exciting new initiatives which will give children a fairer deal within the legal process, and at 'ChildLine', the national helpline for children in trouble or danger launched on Childwatch last year.
