As the nation reacts to the outcome of the General
Election, John Craven reveals how Britain's under-18s have voted. Schools in constituencies all over the United Kingdom have held mock elections and sent their results to Newsround.
Roger Finn is at the 'nerve centre' in London as the results come in, with phones and computer terminals staffed by young volunteers and the poll supervised by the Hansard Society.
Also reports from some of the schools taking part, and Christopher Jones compares the Extra Election with the real one.

Aretha Franklin - Queen of Soul
Aretha Franklin has been singing all her life. From the days in the choir of her famous preaching father's church in Detroit, through the gospel touring circuit in the 50s, her phenomenal success with Atlantic records in the 60s and, finally, to her dramatic rebirth in the 80s,
Aretha has reigned supreme. Tonight Omnibus presents a rare interview with the first lady of soul, and speaks to artists who have known and worked with her: Smokey Robinson , Ray Charles ,
Dick Gregory , The Rev James Cleveland - and to her producers: Jerry Wexler of Atlantic and Narada Michael Walden, producer of her recent number one record 'I knew you were waiting'.
As well as performances by Aretha through the years, the programme includes film seen for the first time of her historic appearance at the Fillmore West in San Francisco, and her magnificent rendition of 'Amazing grace' recorded with The Rev James Cleveland.
