Joanna Lumley joins Terry Wogan and Sue Cook for the final part of the appeal. As midnight approaches, the pledging continues in a bid to beat last year's record Grand Total. Local Radio stations and regional TV stations vie with each other to get that little bit ahead; and it's the time of night when the fun all around the country takes on a spontaneous air of merriment.
