The parade is the tribute by the Household Division to their Sovereign and Colonel-in-Chief, and is the most complex and spectacular military event of the year. The Queen's Colour of the 1st Battalion, Welsh Guards is being trooped. The parade, by tradition, is in five parts:
The Inspection of the Line
The eight Guards and Sovereign's Escort of the Household Cavalry are inspected by The Queen, The Troop by the Massed Bands, Corps of Drums and Pipes and Drums of the Guards Division. Trooping the Colour through the ranks. The March Past by the Guards Division in slow and quick time.
