Every year hundreds of fiddlers from all over Scotland meet for a weekend of traditional music-making-the climax being a gala concert, led by a massed orchestra of 250 fiddlers conducted by ex-Glasgow policeman Jimmy Moir.
Among the highlights is the presentation of the Daily Record Golden Fiddle to Scotland's new champion traditional fiddler, who will play his winning selection.
Fulton Mackay presents excerpts from this spectacular event which this year was held in the Music Hall, Aberdeen.

Argentina v Hungary
Exclusive live coverage, by satellite from the River Plate Stadium, Buenos Aires, of today's top match - the eagerly-awaited first clash between South America and Europe. How will the volatile Argentinians fare in the explosive World Cup atmosphere against the fancied Hungarians, who have qualified for the first time since 1966?
Both countries have reached the World Cup Final in previous competitions but neither has won the trophy. Argentina lost 4-2 to Uruguay in the first World Cup in 1930, while Hungary have been losing finalists twice: in 1938 they lost 4-2 to Italy in Paris, and in 1954 3-2 to West Germany in Berne.
