A series of four true case histories about girls who ran away and the homes they left. In these dramatised reconstructions only the names have been changed. Pauline ran away from home when she was 18 and pregnant. Arriving in London she walked the streets, no job, no money.
Her mother and father are kind, well-meaning people. Pauline was their pride and joy. They had done nothing that would make Pauline leave home. Or had they? Tonight's film is just one sad aspect of an increasing problem for today's family: the runaway girl.
