The 96th University Match for the Bowring Bowl Oxford v Cambridge
Since 1871 each university has celebrated 41 victories. Cambridge reached parity by virtue of winning the last five encounters - the longest winning sequence on record.
With England's ALASTAIR HIGNELL captaining his side from full-back and Irish international JOHN ROBBIE filling the key scrum-half berth, Cambridge must have hopes of going one ahead in the series.
TIM BRYAN gains his third ' Blue' and leads an Oxford side dedicated to reversing the results of recent years.

The Road by LEON GARFIELD
Lord McStunley did everything with the children in mind, or so he said. He bricked over meadows, filled in ponds and cut down trees. But when he tried to destroy the Road, the Road had a different idea.

General Secretary of the Transport and General Workers' Union, gives this year's lecture before an invited audience at the Clothworkers' Hall in the City of London. The Human Face of Labour
' The pay policies of recent years involved the unions in a political role at the request of Government. We have played our part but let no one be under any illusion-the main concern of the union lies in promoting the smooth-running of industry through collective bargaining. I have no doubt in my mind that the maintenance of peaceful industrial relations is more important and more urgent than a further period of pay restraint.'
Tonight Jack Jones replies to some of the criticisms that have been made about how trade unionism works today. He considers the power of the unions, unofficial strikes, the position of shop stewards, how far unions are truly representative of the workers, and the meaning of industrial democracy.
