A prisoner of the Vichy French in World War II, Major Donald Craig of the British North African Army is surprised to find himself kidnapped by German frogmen. His surprise turns to amazement when his kidnappers reveal themselves as members of the Special Identification Group - German Jews working with the allies.
Craig soon learns the reason for his rescue: he is to lead an operation to cut off enemy supply lines by blowing up fuel bunkers at Tobruk.
