Greek sponge-divers Mike Petrakis and his young son, Tony, return to Tarpon Springs, Florida, with a poor collection. Fabulous hauls of sponges are to be found, however, in the dangerous Twelve Mile Reef. This action-packed underwater adventure was filmed on location in Florida and the sponge-fishing grounds in the Gulf of Mexico.
