Belfast is always in the news - a city in conflict - but for the children who live there it is also their home.
Some of these children explain what their everyday lives are like and tell of the things they find frightening as well as the many things they find to enjoy.

starring
Patty Duke and Al Freeman Jr
On the bleak Texas gulf coast two young people meet. A white Southern girl, uneducated, unmarried and pregnant, finds a home and temporary security in an unoccupied beach house. Until another fugitive arrives, also seeking refuge from a hostile world. He is a lawyer from the North, now on the run from the police-and black. Their feelings toward each other are mutual. Distrust, dislike and the hard uncompromising prejudice of background and race. But very soon they are both forced to recognise one thing. In their isolation they need each other.
