Tonight's Bank Holiday film stars Burl Ives, Troy Donahue, Gert Frobe, Terry-Thomas

Arriving in Victorian England, Phineas T. Barnum, the great American showman, hits on the greatest idea of his illustrious career. Using a revolutionary new explosive he will construct a rocket ship to journey to the moon. And who is to be the passenger in the historic craft? Who else but Barnum's own General Tom Thumb, the world's most famous midget.
Inspired by the writing of Jules Verne, this colourful adventure story features an appropriately larger-than-life performance by Burl Ives as Barnum, some effective comedy from Terry-Thomas and Lionel Jeffries - and Jimmy Clitheroe as General Tom Thumb.
