West Ham defend their London title in the Evening Standard 5-a-side soccer championships from the Empire Pool, Wembley. The 11 London soccer clubs plus Watford comprise the entry for these London championships where the players will try and emulate the fast skills of Manchester United and Europe 'B' who won 5-a-side championships seen earlier in this series on Sportsnight.

Conny Velensek (West Germany) v Chris Finnegan (Great Britain)
Tonight's big fight at the Deutschlandhalle, Berlin, where Britain's popular Olympic and light-heavyweight champion tries to win a European crown. Velensek, 29, defends the European title he won in January three days before Finnegan won his British and Commonwealth titles. Finnegan, Mexico Olympic gold medallist, has won 16 of his 18 professional contests.
