An embittered scientist turns from the high road of scientific discovery on to the dangerous path to treason.
Virginia Maskell, one of the stars of tonight's thriller, has been seen twice recently on BBC-tv, first in the Midnight Movie Virgin Island and two weeks ago in Only Two Can Play, the hilarious comedy adapted from Kingsley Amis's novel That Certain Feeling.
