Mr. Youmf, who speaks in the House of Lords on defence and disarmament, and is rapporteur to the W.E.U. Defence Committee, has recently visited the Strategic Air Command Headquarters in the United States.
He draws on these experiences to argue against the proposed multilateral force of nuclear weapons which. he believes, not only will hinder an East-West detente but also is creating unprecedented political differences within the Western Alliance.
