A group of programmes on the historical element in the gospel records

A discussion between T. A. ROBERTS , Lecturer in Historical Theology at the University College of North Staffordshire (Keele) and H. E. W. TURNER , van Mildert Professor of Divinity, University of Durham
Christianity claims to be, in a unique sense, a ' historical religion,' grounded in the historicity of a person and the ' happenedness ' of particular events. In this group of programmes a number of New Testament scholars exchange views in the light of modern criticism of the documents and their contents, about the status of the gospels as an historical record of Jesus' teaching and the events of his life.
