First of three talks by Andrew Shonfield based on a series of lectures he delivered in New Delhi earlier this year under the joint auspices of the Indian Council of World Affairs and the Council for Economic Education
In this talk Mr. Shonfield argues that preoccupation with price stability is a hindrance to the under-developed countries; a policy of discriminating price inflation could be used as a positive aid to economic development in India and elsewhere.
Second talk: August 19
