A few years ago research in tropical medicine was really concerned with parasites and with post-mortem examination of changes brought about by disease.
Today the emphasis is on the living human subject and his total environment.
Dr. McGregor speaks about recent research which has led to this changed approach-and about some notable exceptions to the trend, especially in malaria research.
