Mahler's Symphony of the Thousand
On March 20 the Third Programme is to present, as a public concert at the Royal Albert Hall, a performance of Mahler's Symphony No. 8, conducted by Jascha Horenstein. Known as the 'Symphony of the Thousand,' it requires eight solo singers, two large mixed choirs, a choir of boys' voices, an orchestra of 150, and a brass ensemble.
Tickets may now be obtained from the Royal Albert Hall or usual agents.
