(The recorded broadcast of June 4)
The Welsh Sonata is a picture of village and small-town life in North Wales. The story describes the search for a simple but devout tramp who is missing from the village. With his loss the villagers feel that the goodness has gone out of ordinary life, and their quest is to bring it back again into the community. Goronwy Jones , P.C. and poet, uncovers many other stories in the course of this tale, and many other personalities; but through all this diversity the unifying element is the search for the good man, the ' man with a cloud on his head.'
