A talk on the ' Spiritual Exercises' of St. Ignatius of Loyola by the Rev. M. C. D'Arcy , s.J.
St. Ignatius's manual of spiritual discipline has had great influence even outside the Roman Catholic communion. Ignatius began life as a soldier, and Father D'Arey describes the book as conceived in terms of a campaign in the warfare of life. He sees the secret of Ignatian spirituality in a typically Renaissance combination of contemplation and action.
