Bernard Wall has lived for some time in a suburb of Rome called Monteverde, where hundreds of modem blocks of flats have shot up in the last few years. He talks about this new quarter and its inhabitants.

Hugh Martin , author of Puritanism and Richard Baxter , talks about the latest volume of The Church in England by S. C. Carpenter. Although Dr. Carpenter's book covers the period 597-1688, this review deals principally with his treatment of Puritanism and the Commonwealth.
