A series of four talks
2-Karl Heim by the Rev. W. A. Whitehouse Dean of the Faculty of Theology and Reader in Theology in the University of Durham
Among Continental theologians Karl Heim is one of the few who have shown considerable interest in the relation between science and theology. In the last twenty years he has produced six volumes in an attempt to work out an overall picture of reality — world picture of belief, as he calls it — to set against the world picture of disbelief from which most people take their bearings in a scientific age. Mr. Whitehouse, who has translated one of the volumes into English, talks about Karl Heim 's contribution and, in particular, the theory of multiple spaces and the category of polarity.
