Tarrant Bailey (Jnr.), whose serious illness terminated his broadcast engagement with the Kentucky Minstrels in November, 1935, returned to the microphone in a broadcast with Geoff Sisley in the West Regional programme last July. Since that date he has been featured in a film short, playing his own banjo compositions, and he has also been recording some of these. He has a reputation as a finger player and also as a plectrum banjoist. This summer he is taking his instrumental quartet to Newquay for the season.
