The present imposing building of Argvie Presbyterian Church was opened in 1875, but the church had been formed long before this I,s formation can be traced back to the time when a small group of pious men and women met in a dwellmghousein Orange Street. 
The church, well known tor its missionary zeal. has built a church in Karimganj, India, where it man tains two native teachers. Since Ac 
'davs of the Revival of 1859, it has ats'o maintained a mission in the Strand, Swansea. 
There have been several put-standing pastors from time to time. 
The nrst was William Howells who afterwards became Principal of Trevecca College, and after him came William Williams , known throughout the Principality for his rare gifts as a preacher and writer. 
The present pastor was inducted m June, 1935.

AN ORGAN RECITAL

by Aneurin Rees from Walter Road Congregational 
Church, Swansea  
At the age of fourteen Aneurin Rees was appointed organist at St. John's 
Church, Alltwen, and since that time he has been organist and choirmaster at the Weslevan Church, Pontardawe ; Bethel Newydd, Garnant , and (since 1921) at Walter Road 
Church, Swansea. He is very well known as a conductor of singing festivals and also as an adjudicator of organ playing.
