A Ceilidh of Today
Organised by KENNETH MACRAE
Taking part :
MARGARET DUNCAN
ALASTAIR MACKILLOP
Pipe-Major WILLIAM Ross and some Edinburgh Highland Friends
(From Edinburgh)
The Ceilidh is an informal gathering of friends who have come together to sing the songs they like best and tell stories of bygone days. Some of our most memorable broadcasts have taken the Ceilidh form and everyone has been impressed, whether he knew the old tongue or not, by the delightful atmosphere in which the proceedings took place. Kenneth MacRae, who is organising the Ceilidh, has been singing since he was six years old. He performed in the Queen's Hall, London, when he was ten. He has just concluded a ten months' tour of England with the Mastersingers.
