He spends a good deal of his time making and sailing model yachts, a hobby much more exacting and satisfying than the uninitiated might suppose. In this interview with Denis Ireland he will discuss how he has taken to retirement after a long active life, and he will probably also have much to say about model yachting.

Here is one of Mabel Constanduros's earliest and funniest sketches round the immortal Bugginses. They set out from Hampton Court (and you may hear a little bit of ' history that will make you laugh) - Mrs. Buggins, Grandma, Emma, Alphie, and Father. Father can't punt ; the more he tries the more the punt travels in the opposite direction ; and eventually he falls in.
Mabel Constanduros plays every part except that of Father, who in this particular sketch doesn't speak. She has rewritten it - a refreshing habit of hers whenever she broadcasts anything for the second time.

A. G. Macdonell is the last speaker to broadcast on the pleasing and topical subject of ' Your Visit to Scotland '. The series has covered a wide field of interest-food, hospitality, mountains, architecture, the Highlands and Islands, in fact all the most important aspects of Scotland as a country and of Scotsmen as people. 
Mr. Macdonell, well known in both Scotland and England as a provocative speaker and writer, was born in 1895. His books include ' England, Their England ', ' Napoleon and his Marshals ', ' How Like an Angel ', ' A Visit to America ', ' Lords and Masters ', and, more recently, ' My Scotland ' which aroused heated debate north of the Border.

Egon Wellesz, Composer and critic, studied under Schonberg, Bruno Walter , and also under the famous musical scholar and historian Guido Adler. In 1913 he was appointed Lecturer and Musical Historian at Vienna University. He has made a special study of old Byzantine music and has written many important essays on the baroque period. As a composer, he follows in the wake of Schonberg, although he has not blindly followed in his master's footsteps. Like many composers of this school, Wellesz's early works show the influences of Mahler and Reger. 
However, these three unaccompanied choruses, on sacred poems by Silesius, composed in 1930, show that by that timexhe had shaken off almost all the influences that can be traced in his earlier work.
