Lionel Falkman led an orchestra at Abertillery when he was twelve years old and then came up to London to study the violin. He first broadcast from Cardiff fourteen years ago when he was conductor of the Capitol Cinema Orchestra. Then for years he was regularly on the air as conductor of the Paramount Theatre Orchestra, Manchester.
In 1933 he came to London and formed his Apache Band. They have been playing at the Brasserie, Oxford Street Corner House, ever
