' Choosing your Tools'
W P Matthew
This is the first of six practical talks.
They are planned for the small householder who is responsible for his own repairs and decorations but cannot afford to call in professional assistance every time a door-handle comes off or his wife wants some extra shelves in the pantry.
Each talk will be given by W. P. Matthew , who is a builder by trade, with considerable experience of the needs and problems of the householder in question. In his opening broadcast today he will describe the tools that every amateur handyman should aim at acquiring.deal with In the later talks he will deal with all kinds of jobs about the house, from modest repairs to such ambitious schemes as the modernising of an old-fashioned room. The man of the house who listens to these talks will have no excuse for not taking a hand on a pretty big scale in the annual spring-cleaning.
